Hino Service Calculator Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the operation of the Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program at Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd as of the 1st of September 2019.

  1. In these Terms and Conditions:

    Truckstops means a branch that is wholly owned by Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd.

    Eligible Model List means the list of Hino model variants to which the Hino Fixed Price Service Pricing Program applies, as updated from time to time.

    Eligible Vehicles means all model variants set out in the Eligible Model List that are sold by Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd and specifically excludes:

    • Privately imported vehicles; and
    • 'Grey import' vehicles, i.e. Hino branded vehicles imported into New Zealand other than through Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd.

    Service schedule means for all Eligible Vehicles, standard scheduled service intervals set by the manufacturer Hino Motors Ltd.

    Service Schedule - Hino means the official service schedule for all Eligible Vehicles and may be amended from time to time. The service schedule differs across models/variants; specific details can be found in your Warranty & Service Book or from your nearest Truckstops branch.

    Hino Fixed Price Servicing means the price you will pay to have an Eligible Vehicle serviced at Truckstops based on the manufacturers recommended servicing intervals.

    Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program means the program contemplated by these terms and conditions.

  2. Scope of Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program.

    The Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program is provided only by Truckstops wholly owned branches.

    The Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program provides a yearly (total) and monthly (average) price guide over a three year period, for the servicing of Eligible Vehicles based on the recommended servicing intervals supplied by Hino Motors Ltd. The downloadable PDF provides a yearly (total) and monthly (average) price as well as the specific service per service interval and the fixed price for each service.

    The price per service is subject to change without notice hence this document should be used as a guide only.

    Servicing conducted under the program relates to the cab and chassis only and must be carried out in accordance with Service Schedule - Hino service interval recommendations. If any scheduled maintenance servicing is missed, additional costs may apply when your vehicle is presented for its next scheduled maintenance service in addition to the Fixed Price Servicing price for that particular service.

  3. What is covered under Hino Fixed Price Servicing?

    The applicable Hino Fixed Price Service will cover the standard items in each Scheduled Service as set out in the Service Schedule – Hino.

    The standard items in each Scheduled Service are (subject to condition 5 below and the Service Schedule – Hino):

    • labour, parts, lubricants and sundries which includes items such as oil and waste recycling and or removal, workshop supplies etc.

    Items such as Air Filter, Ad Blue Filter and Coolant are not included as part of the A, B, C or Automatic Transmission service. Details of exactly what is included in each service can be obtained through your local Truckstops branch.

  4. Intermediate servicing.

    As some driving conditions place more stress and strain on your vehicle, some maintenance procedures may be required to be performed more regularly than the Scheduled Services. Your local Truckstops branch can advise you on the benefits of intermediate servicing in line with your vehicle’s operating conditions. Intermediate servicing is not covered under the Hino Service Pricing Program.

  5. Hino Fixed Price Servicing does not include the following items:

    • Tyre balancing and wheel alignment where required;
    • Repair of accident damage to any body, driveline or chassis components;
    • Additional maintenance due to modification from original specification;
    • Normal wear and tear consumable items and parts requiring additional maintenance (including but not limited to clutch linings, brake discs and pads, brake linings, wiper blades, globes of all types, fuses, trims, brakes, diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters, all belts, water pumps, tyres, Satellite Navigation update disks and all other parts of your vehicle that have been subject to normal wear and tear);
    • Items or work required as a result of vehicle misuse or abuse or as a result of the vehicle not being driven in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines;
    • Additional fluids and additives not specified in the Service Schedule - Hino;
    • Adjustments not specified in the Service Schedule – Hino;
    • Additional maintenance and repairs that may be recommended by your local Truckstops branch or Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd to suit your individual driving characteristics;
    • Service or maintenance of non-genuine HINO parts;
    • Service, fitment or maintenance of any accessories, including HINO accessories
    • Additional items identified within the service schedule including: coolant, air filters, desiccant, and synthetic transmission oil.

    These items will be a separate charge to the published Hino Fixed Price Servicing price.

    To the extent permitted by law, these Terms and Conditions may be amended by Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd or Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd from time to time and may at its discretion discontinue the Hino Fixed Price Servicing Program. Amendments will be published on the website www.truckstopscalculator.co.nz and will take effect immediately upon publication.
